Farmina Vet Life Struvite is a complete dietetic dry food for cats, formulated to dissolve struvite calculi and to acidify the urine. It controls the minerals involved in struvite stone formation and promotes an acidic urinary pH that supports stone dissolution. This is a veterinary diet and should be used under the guidance of your veterinarian.
Controlled levels of magnesium, phosphorus and calcium create a urinary environment less favourable to crystal aggregation and precipitation, while added DL-methionine helps maintain an acidic urine pH that supports the dissolution of struvite and helps inhibit the formation of new struvite stones. The acidic environment is also less favourable to bacterial proliferation.
