KILVERM Oral Suspension is a veterinary anthelmintic (dewormer) combining Pyrantel Pamoate IP (14.4 mg/ml) and Fenbendazole IP (15 mg/ml) to provide broad-spectrum control of intestinal parasites in dogs and cats. This prescription medication effectively treats roundworms, whipworms, and hookworms, making it an essential component of preventive pet healthcare.
Formulated as a palatable oral suspension in an aqueous base, KILVERM is safe for use in puppies and kittens, and can be used in pregnant dogs and cats to reduce prenatal infections and prevent transmission of parasites to offspring via milk.
Composition
Each ml contains:
- Pyrantel Pamoate IP: 14.4 mg
- Fenbendazole IP: 15 mg
- Aqueous base: q.s.
Indications
For control of:
- Roundworms (e.g., Ascarids spp.)
- Whipworms including (Trichuris spp.)
- Hookworms (Ancylostoma spp.)
In dogs and cats
Pregnant Dogs/Cats
To reduce prenatal infections with Toxocara spp. and the transfer of Toxocara spp. and Ancylostoma spp. to the pups/kittens via the milk.
Dosage
Dog: 1-3 ml per kg body weight (1 ml is equivalent to approx. 20 drops)
Cat: 1 to 3 ml per kg body weight should be mixed with feed, or administered orally directly after feeding.
Deworming Schedule:
- Should be dewormed at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 weeks of age
- Then every month till they become 6 months old
- Thereafter every three months
- In case of unproven heavy worm infestations, should be dewormed every two months after three months of age
