Alkem PAN IV (Pantoprazole for Injection IP) 40mg is a lyophilized proton pump inhibitor injection, reconstituted and administered intravenously by a veterinarian to help manage gastric acid-related conditions such as ulcers, GI bleeding and reflux in dogs and cats. This is a prescription-only medicine and must be used strictly as directed by your treating veterinarian.
Composition
- Each vial contains: Pantoprazole Sodium IP equivalent to Pantoprazole 40mg (as sterile lyophilized powder)
- Includes one ampoule of Sterile Sodium Chloride Injection IP 0.9% w/v (10ml) as diluent
Administration & Handling
- Route: Intravenous (IV) use only, administered or supervised by a veterinary professional.
- Reconstitution: Dissolve the contents of the vial with the supplied Sodium Chloride Injection 0.9% w/v. Use the ampoule only once and discard after use.
- The reconstituted solution should be used immediately after preparation; discard any unused portion.
- Do not use the reconstituted solution if it contains any visible particulate matter.
- Do not use if the ampoule is found leaking, or shows particulate matter or external contamination, even from invisible transit/storage damage.
Storage: Store protected from light and moisture, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
