Bolfo Powder contains Propoxur 1%, a carbamate insecticide used for the control of external parasites including ticks, fleas, and lice in dogs and cats. This topical antiparasitic powder works by disrupting the nervous system of parasites. Dosage and Application:
For Dogs and Cats:
- Apply thin layer of powder against the direction of hair growth to expose skin
- Focus on areas where parasites are commonly found (neck, back, tail base, underbelly)
- Application frequency: As directed by your veterinarian, typically 1-2 times weekly
- Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, and mucous membranes
- Do not exceed recommended dosage
- Apply in well-ventilated area
- Wash hands thoroughly after application
- Prevent pet from licking treated areas until powder has settled into coat
Contraindications and Precautions:

Common Side Effects:

- Vomiting or diarrhea if ingested
- Signs of cholinergic toxicity (excessive salivation, muscle tremors, difficulty breathing, pinpoint pupils, weakness)
- Seek immediate veterinary attention if: Severe tremors, seizures, difficulty breathing, collapse, excessive drooling, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, or any signs of poisoning occur. Have product packaging available for veterinarian reference.
Storage Requirements:
