Corise Interban Cream is a veterinary topical antibacterial ointment containing Mupirocin I.P. 2% w/w for treatment of primary and secondary bacterial skin infections in dogs and cats. Mupirocin is effective against gram-positive bacteria including Staphylococcus aureus (including methicillin-resistant strains/MRSA) and Streptococcus species.

Composition (per gram):

Indications:
- Primary bacterial skin infections (impetigo, pyoderma)
- Secondary bacterial infections of dermatoses
- Folliculitis
- Superficial wounds, cuts, and abrasions with bacterial infection
- Hotspots (acute moist dermatitis) with bacterial component
- Post-surgical wound care (as prescribed by veterinarian)
- Staphylococcal and streptococcal skin infections
Dosage & Administration:
- Application: Apply thin layer to affected area
- Frequency: 2-3 times daily (or as prescribed)
- Duration: Typically 5-10 days; do not exceed 14 days without veterinary reassessment
- Important: Complete full course even if symptoms improve early
How to Apply:
- Wear disposable gloves before application
- Clean affected area gently with mild antiseptic or water and pat dry
- Apply thin layer of cream to affected skin only
- Gently rub in
- Do not cover with bandages unless directed by veterinarian
- Wash hands thoroughly after application
- Prevent pet from licking treated area (use E-collar if necessary)
Side Effects:
- Local irritation or burning sensation
- Redness at application site
- Itching or rash
- Contact dermatitis (rare)
- Allergic reactions (rare)
If irritation persists or worsens, discontinue use and consult veterinarian.
Contraindications:
- Known hypersensitivity to mupirocin or cream components
- Deep wounds or severe burns (requires systemic antibiotics)
