A/C Pet 250 is a veterinary prescription antibiotic tablet manufactured by Pazuvet, formulated specifically for oral use in dogs and cats. It combines Amoxycillin 250 mg with Potassium Clavulanate, creating a broad-spectrum antibiotic that may help treat a wide range of bacterial infections. The clavulanate component protects amoxycillin from enzyme-producing resistant bacteria, making this combination more effective than amoxycillin alone. Common infections it may help address include skin and wound infections, urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, and soft tissue infections.
How It Works:
Amoxycillin disrupts bacterial cell wall formation, effectively stopping bacterial growth. Potassium Clavulanate acts as a beta-lactamase inhibitor, preventing resistant bacteria from breaking down the antibiotic — broadening the drug's effectiveness against a wider range of pathogens.
