Cef-DP 200 contains Cefpodoxime Proxetil IP equivalent to Cefpodoxime 200 mg, a broad-spectrum third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic for oral use in dogs, cats, and other animals. It is commonly prescribed for bacterial infections including skin infections, urinary tract infections, and soft tissue infections caused by susceptible organisms. Cefpodoxime works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, effectively stopping bacterial growth.
