Royal Canin Hepatic is a complete dietetic dry food for adult dogs, formulated to support liver function in the case of chronic liver insufficiency and for the reduction of copper in the liver. It features adapted levels of highly digestible vegetable proteins, a restricted copper level, high-quality essential fatty acids, and highly digestible carbohydrates to reduce hepatic workload and support nutritional restoration.

- Adapted Protein Content: Adapted levels of highly digestible vegetable proteins to support liver function in cases of chronic liver insufficiency. Dogs with impaired liver function can become intolerant to usual protein levels.
- Low Copper: Restricted copper level (3 mg/kg total copper) to help minimise its accumulation in liver cells. Excessive copper accumulation plays a key role in the progression of hepatic lesions.
- High Energy: High energy content (3,881 kcal/kg metabolisable energy) to reduce meal volume and decrease intestinal load, supporting dogs with impaired nutrient metabolism and reduced appetite.
- High Essential Fatty Acids: 3.86% essential fatty acids including EPA/DHA (0.2%) from fish oil to support overall health and liver function.
- Highly Digestible Carbohydrates: Rice and maize as primary carbohydrate sources, marked as highly digestible ingredients, to support energy provision with minimal hepatic strain.
- Fructo-Oligosaccharides: Prebiotics to help maintain a balanced intestinal microbiota.
Recommended Use: Initially feed Royal Canin Hepatic dry for up to 6 months. Duration of use beyond this period must be determined by a veterinarian.
