Royal Canin Mother & Babycat is a complete and balanced dry food designed for cats at their most vulnerable life stage. It is suitable for gestating and lactating queens as well as kittens from 1 to 4 months old. Best for first-age kittens and nursing mothers, this formula provides targeted nutrition to support the health of both mother and newborns through this critical period.
Key Ingredients:
The top ingredients are dehydrated poultry protein, animal fats, maize flour, rice, and vegetable protein isolate. The formula also contains hydrolysed animal proteins, yeasts and parts thereof, fish oil, beet pulp, vegetable fibres, soya oil, fructo-oligo-saccharides (0.35%), hydrolysed yeast, yeast extracts, and marigold extract as a source of lutein.
Note: Contains soya and maize. Not suitable for cats with sensitivities to these ingredients.

This formula features a patented complex of antioxidants including Vitamin E (Patent No. EP1146870), which supports the natural immune defences of first-age kittens as maternal immunity from colostrum gradually decreases between 4 and 12 weeks after birth. It is enriched with DHA at 1.87 g/kg, a natural omega-3 fatty acid that supports brain and cerebral development during gestation and lactation. The soft-textured kibble can be easily rehydrated to help kittens transition smoothly from milk to solid food, supporting digestive tolerance and reducing undigested nutrients.

Storage and Transition Tips:
Store in a cool, dry place. When introducing this food, gradually transition over 7 to 10 days by mixing increasing amounts with the previous food to minimise digestive upset. For mixed feeding, follow the guidelines above to ensure accurate intake of both wet and dry food. Also available as an ultra soft mousse for cats that prefer wet food.
